April was a great month – it was National Occupational Therapy Month and National Autism Awareness Month – and full of opportunities for us to meet people in the community. Between the rain showers, we played ring toss at our booth at the 3rd Annual Autism Empowerment Easter Egg Hunt for Acceptance of All Abilities. We saw lots of wet, but happy kids! We joined the resources at the Southwest Washington Special Education Conference and Resource Fair. There was so much great information available for parents and members of the community. Then we were at the resource fair for the Autism Society of Oregon’s 12th Annual Autism Walk. Now, as May begins, we are celebrating Better Hearing and Speech Month, focused on bringing awareness to the services provided by Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists.
